'Aubergine' by Armand Hammer
I was inspired by Kiyoshi Kurosawa's 'Cure' which led to me making this video. The concept of the video revolves around hypnosis, as can be seen in the film. It's also riddled with clues as to what had been on my mind while I was making this video. Armand HAmmer are a Hip-Hop duo who also serve as a huge inspiration to the way I think and create, and therefore, Aubergine off of their 2021 record, 'Haram' seemed like the best way to go.

This is a video that is very personal to me. The song in the video is very close to my heart and has helped me through some tough times. The video draws inspiration from the early 2000s, leaning into themes of nostalgia, perseverance and existentialism.

I made this video out of love for LAUSSE THE CAT's 2025 album called "The Mocking Stars". The intention was to make something cozy and celebratory.
